53 West 23rd Street

53 West 23rd Street is a 12-story, commercial building located in New York's Flatiron District. This 101 year old structure underwent a major lobby renovation in 2016, as well as the restoration of her terra-cotta base entrance. Her 3 passenger elevators were also renovated and designed to make for a seamless transition between lobby and elevator.  They are composed of beautiful beige stone separated by LED strip lights, "White Dove" painted cove ceiling, and Artesia Verde floors.

 
 

The materials involved included the following

  • Ceiling: existing ceiling painted in Benjamin Moore semi gloss paint.

  • Lighting: Two (2) L.e.d. strip lights mounted within front and rear.

  • wall panels: seven (7) raised removable panels faced with a natural stone & wrapped with stainless steel angles.

  • frieze, reveals & base: faced with stainless steel.

  • handrail: one (1) faced with Stainless steel.

  • fronts: Painted with Benjamin Moore semi gloss finish paint.

  • floors: ardesia verde floor.
